The owners of the Green Roofs estate decide to adopt the poor and lonely boy from the shelter, who will become their housekeeper and heir to the property. But due to a misunderstanding, quite by accident, not a boy falls under their roof, but a dreamer-prone girl who is prone to fantasy.
Anne is sincerely glad that she was able to get into a loving family and is trying to thank her new guardians. She longs to be everything exclusively in joy, but she is depressed by her own appearance.
